Freight transport can move without restrictions
The Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan has reported that road services continue their activities without interruption due to worsening weather conditions. Snow is falling in many areas of the country, and road clearing is being carried out around the clock.
As of 09:30 on December 9, traffic on the Too-Ashuu and Ala-Bel passes (Bishkek–Osh highway), as well as on the Otmok pass (Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz road) is fully open, and temporary restrictions for freight transport have been lifted.
Work continues on the Dolon pass (Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart) to clear and treat the road with a sand-salt mixture. Restrictions for freight vehicles are expected to be lifted soon.
The Ministry of Transport strongly recommends that drivers avoid entering the oncoming lane, adhere to traffic rules, and change summer tires to winter ones in advance.
