According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, as of December 15, at 09:30, the passes in the country are open for traffic. However, on the Bishkek-Osh roads, particularly at the Too-Ashuu and Ala-Bel passes, there are still temporary restrictions for heavy vehicles. Currently, it is snowing, and road services are working on clearing the roads and spreading inert materials.
As for the Otmok pass on the Suusamyr-Talas-Taraz route, traffic is open there and no restrictions are observed.
Equally important is the fact that the Kara-Goo pass on the Kazarman-Aktalchat highway is temporarily closed until weather conditions improve. An alternative route is provided for motorists.
In light of the changing weather, the Ministry urges drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and prepare their vehicles for winter conditions.
