The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced a storm warning regarding the deterioration of weather conditions. According to information from Kyrgyzhydromet, precipitation is expected from December 8 to 10, which will lead to avalanches and snow drifts in some mountainous regions.
Dangerous areas where caution is advised:
- the highway Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya, kilometers 68–74 (Chapchyma Pass);
- the highway Krasnaya Gorka — Ak-Tash, kilometers 0–3;
- the highway Myryza-Ake — Kara-Kuldja — Alaykuu, kilometers 65–110.
It is reported that the road surface will become extremely slippery, with ice forming in some places, and snow drifts are also possible. Rescuers advise maintaining caution and keeping a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles when traveling through the specified areas.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommends postponing long-distance trips. If you still plan to travel, it is advisable to take anti-slip chains, a shovel, warm clothing, hot water, and a first aid kit with you.
