A storm warning will be in effect in Kyrgyzstan from November 4 to 5.
Meteorologists predict significant changes in weather conditions.
In certain areas, rain transitioning to snow is expected, while in mountainous regions, snowfalls with possible heavy precipitation are anticipated. Fog is likely in some places at night and in the morning. The wind will be from the west at a speed of 4–9 m/s, with gusts in some areas reaching 15–20 m/s.
Snow drifts and ice may occur on foothill and mountain sections of roads, which could hinder transportation.
The expected air temperatures are as follows:
- Chui Valley: at night −1…−6°, during the day 0…+5°;
- Talas Valley: at night −2…−7°, during the day 0…+5°;
- Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions (valleys): at night 0…−5°, during the day +1…+6°;
- Foothills: at night −2…−7°, during the day −2…+3°;
- Issyk-Kul Basin: at night −4…+1°, during the day +1…+6°;
- Naryn region (agricultural zone): at night −4…−9°, during the day −1…+4°;
- Mountains: at night −5…−10°, during the day 0…−5°;
- High mountains: at night −15…−20°, during the day −5…−10°.
Additionally, on the night and morning of November 6, frost down to −1…−3° is expected in some valleys of the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, which may threaten vegetable crops as well as unprotected potato and sugar beet tubers.
The civil defense urges citizens and drivers to be cautious, avoid long trips, and protect agricultural crops from frost.
