According to information from the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, from February 28 to March 5, 2026, avalanches, snow drifts, and the formation of ice are expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan.
During this period, unstable weather is predicted, which may negatively affect the condition of the roads in the country.
The most hazardous sections of the roads include:
- the Bishkek–Osh road on sections from 121 to 138 km (Töö-Ashuu pass) and from 198 to 265 km (Chychkan gorge, Ala-Bel pass);
- the Myrza-Ake–Kara-Kulja–Alakuu road on sections from 55 to 115 km;
- the Ala-Buka–Kanysh-Kiya road on sections from 45 to 112 km (Chapchyma pass);
- the Krasnaya-Gorka–Ak-Tash road on sections from 0 to 3 km;
- the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart road on sections from 292 to 305 km (Dolon pass);
- the Balikchy–Kazaraman–Jalal-Abad road on sections from 201 to 205, 260 to 290, and 326 to 349 km (Kök-Art pass);
- the Karakol–Enilchek road on sections from 45 to 90 km (Chong-Ashuu pass).
