A woman suspected of committing fraudulent activities involving more than 20 episodes has been arrested in Bishkek. This was reported by the press service of the capital's main department of internal affairs.
The first information about the criminal activity was received by the police from a citizen named T.A. He reported that an unfamiliar woman, calling herself "M.", deceitfully took his funds amounting to 319,000 soms, promising the delivery of eight sewing machines. After receiving the money, she disappeared.
Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code.
Law enforcement agencies soon detained the suspect, identified as citizen M.T., born in 1987. During the investigation, it was revealed that she may be involved in more than 20 similar cases of fraud.
Despite the seriousness of the charges, the court decided not to place her in custody, considering that she has a minor child. As a preventive measure, she was assigned electronic monitoring using a special bracelet.
