From January 16 to 17, significant changes in weather conditions are expected in Kyrgyzstan: snowfalls are possible in some areas, and in certain regions, precipitation will be quite intense.
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it is expected that due to the precipitation, wet snow may form on power lines and tree branches. In some areas, fog is also forecasted, and there is a high probability of snow drifts on mountain roads.
From January 17 to 19, the air temperature will significantly drop:
- In the Chui and Talas valleys, temperatures at night may drop to -9…-14°, while during the day it will be -1…-6°;
- In the valley zone of the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, temperatures at night are expected to be -2…-7°, and during the day -2° frost …+3° warmth, in the foothills at night -11…-16°, during the day -2…-7°;
- In the Issyk-Kul basin, nighttime temperatures may reach -7…-12°, while during the day it will be -4° frost …+1° warmth;
- In the agricultural zone of the Naryn region and in mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures may drop to -23…-28°, and during the day -9…-14°, in high-altitude areas at night -26…-31°, during the day -9…-14°;
- In the Suusamyr valley, nighttime temperatures are expected to be -30…-35°, and during the day -11…-16° frost.
