Films from Kyrgyzstan won awards at the international festival in Dhaka
At the XXIV International Film Festival in Dhaka (Bangladesh), works by Kyrgyz filmmakers were awarded several prizes. This information is posted on the official festival website.

The film "Kurak," created by Erke Jumakmatova and Emil Atageldiev, was recognized as the best in the Asian competition. In addition, the award for best screenplay went to the film "Ot" by Dastan Madalbekov and Aizada Bekbalaeva.

In the category of films made by women directors, the award for best direction was given to Aizada Amangeldy for her film "The Seventh Month."

The screenplay project "Husband" by Aizada Bekbalaeva took second place at the screenplay laboratory "West Meets East."

The Dhaka International Festival, held since 1992, is the most significant film festival in Bangladesh. It annually gathers audiences and professionals from the film industry from around the world and includes screenings of films of various genres, as well as master classes and discussions featuring well-known figures in cinema.
