Winners of the Awards
"Hamnet" is directed by Chloe Zhao, featuring lead roles played by Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley. The latter was recognized for Best Actress in a Drama."Battle for Battle" by Paul Thomas Anderson, where Leonardo DiCaprio played the lead role, won awards for Best Motion Picture in the Musical or Comedy category, and the director himself was honored for his work. This film also received recognition for Best Screenplay.
The Best Dramatic Actor was Brazilian artist Wagner Moura for his performance in the film "Secret Agent."

The awards for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Film were given to Timothée Chalamet for his role in "Marty Magnificent" and Rose Byrne for "I Would Kick You If I Could."
Also recognized was Teyana Taylor, who received the award for Best Supporting Actress in "Battle for Battle," and Stellan Skarsgård, who was awarded for Best Supporting Actor in the film "Sentimental Value."
The Best Animated Film was "Cape Pop: Demon Hunters", released on Netflix.
Nominations and Favorites
The most nominations—nine—were for "Battle for Battle." This black comedy was also nominated for Best Director and Best Screenplay.

The film tells the story of a revolutionary who returns to the fight after his daughter is endangered by a corrupt cop. "Battle for Battle" impressed both audiences and critics.
Other favorites include "The Wrongdoers" by Ryan Coogler with seven nominations and "Sentimental Value" by Joachim Trier with eight nominations, telling the story of sisters reuniting with their filmmaker father.

"Hamnet" also received six nominations, while Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein," a new interpretation of the classic novel, became a favorite with five nominations.
Among the series, "The White Lotus" stood out with six nominations, while Netflix's "Coming of Age" earned five, including a nomination for 15-year-old Owen Cooper for Best Supporting Role on Television.
A new category this year was for Best Podcast, which was won by Amy Poehler with her project Good Hang.
"We strive to bring a little love and laughter into this world," Poehler noted at the awards ceremony in Beverly Hills.
Among the films contending for Film of the Year were the drama "Just a Coincidence," which won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and "Marty Magnificent," about a tennis player from the 1950s.
Additionally, the nominations included "Bugonia"—a black comedy about conspiracy theories, "Method of Exclusion"—a Korean comedy, the Brazilian "Secret Agent," and "Cape Pop: Demon Hunters."

In the category of "Best Actor in a Dramatic Series," Michael B. Jordan ("The Wrongdoers") was highly regarded, but Wagner Moura ("Secret Agent") also emerged as a favorite after his win at the Cannes Film Festival.
In the race for "Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy," experienced actors such as Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, and Chase Infinity were nominated.

Special Awards
This year, two special awards, which are usually presented on the day of the ceremony, were given in advance. Sarah Jessica Parker, star of "Sex and the City," received the Carol Burnett Award for Outstanding Contributions to Television, while Helen Mirren received a similar award for achievements in film—the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Although winning a Golden Globe does not guarantee success at the Oscars, it can significantly increase the chances of a nomination.
The Golden Globe Awards are among the first in the awards season and can influence the interest of Academy members in films, which in turn can lead to Oscar nominations.
Some actors, such as Sebastian Stan and Demi Moore, have received Oscar nominations after winning Golden Globes. Films like "Stream" and "I Still Here" were also initially recognized with Golden Globes before winning Oscars in their respective categories.
