According to their information, by 2026, the agricultural needs of the Kyrgyz Republic will require 182.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers. In particular, the following volumes are planned:
- nitrogen fertilizers — 96.2 thousand tons (for spring fieldwork);
- phosphorus fertilizers — 71.5 thousand tons;
- potassium fertilizers — 15.2 thousand tons.
As of January 20, 2025, the total volume of imported mineral fertilizers amounted to 21.5 thousand tons. Currently, private companies have 19.2 thousand tons of finished products available for sale.
In accordance with the order of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine No. 124, the accounting of the import of mineral fertilizers into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic is being introduced through border phytosanitary points by both road and rail transport.
