From January 23 to 25, the stage of the Bishkek City Drama Theater named after A. Umuraliev will host a production of the play "Uncle's Dream," based on the novella of the same name by F.M. Dostoevsky.

According to the theater, the implementation of this production is overseen by director Ulanmyrza Karypbaev, set designer Sadyr Niyazakunov, costume designer Zuhra Mukambetova, as well as choreographer Rezeda Gayanova, who works in St. Petersburg.

The work "Uncle's Dream" is a satirical sketch in which Dostoevsky masterfully describes the variety of provincial characters and morals. It is one of the brightest satires, in which the writer exposes the hypocrisy and despotism hidden behind beautiful words.

The play will feature many elements of grotesque and farce, and the characters will appear before the audience in bright and expressive images.
