The premiere of the play "Uncle's Dream," based on the work of Fyodor Dostoevsky, took place at the Bishkek City Drama Theater named after Arsen Umuraliyev (BGDT). The event was attended by a journalist from 24.kg.
This production was made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the organization "Russian Seasons," which assist Russian-speaking theaters outside the country. The director of the play was Ulanmyrza Karypbaev, and the scenographer was Sadyr Niyazakunov. The costumes were designed by Zukhra Mukambetova, and the choreographer of the project is Rezida Gayanova from St. Petersburg.
The play "Uncle's Dream" represents one of the most vivid satirical works of Dostoevsky, in which the author ruthlessly exposes the hypocrisy and vulgarity hidden behind beautiful phrases. The production emphasizes grotesque and farce, with characters depicted with bright traits and eccentric features.

The head of BGDT, Aigul Umuraliyeva, shared her impressions of the premiere.
In my opinion, every theatrical institution should include works of world literature in its repertoire, especially the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky. "Uncle's Dream" is not just a psychological drama, and it was not easy for the actors to immerse themselves in their roles. This work requires a high level of preparation.
Aigul Umuraliyeva
She noted that the play became both a blessing and a challenge for the theater. Despite the difficulties, the result was a successful performance in which the actors were able to convey the full power of feelings such as love.
Aigul Umuraliyeva expressed deep gratitude to Zukhra Mukambetova for creating bright and expressive costumes that reflect the era of Fyodor Dostoevsky. Each character received a unique and distinctive image.
