Theatrical Week Kicks Off for the 70th Anniversary of People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan Zamir Sooronbaev

In Kyrgyzstan, the theater week dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the People's Artist of the country, Zamir Sooronbaev, began on November 5. Sooronbaev is not only a director and laureate of the international M. Ryskulov award but also an honorary professor at the National University of Culture and Arts named after B. Beishenaliev.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking guests, including the First Deputy Minister of Culture Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov, writer and president of the Union of Theater Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic Janish Kulmambetov, as well as the People's Writer Kairat Imanaliev.

The solemn event opened with the performance of the play "Süyüü armany," which was staged based on the play by K. Zarlykova and directed by Zamir Sooronbaev himself. The premiere took place on the stage of the Naryn Regional Academic Musical Drama Theater named after M. Ryskulov.

As part of the theater week, the following performances created under the guidance of Zamir Sooronbaev are scheduled:

- November 6 — "Semeteichi Seydene" (adaptation by J. Isabaeva and B. Seyitbekova, directed by E. Toktomusheva) at the Talas Regional Musical Drama Theater named after K. Medetbekov;

- November 7 — "Öksügü kuchtuu ömür" (under the guidance of Ch. Kalybekova) at the Batken Regional Musical Drama Theater named after A. Zhainakov;

- November 8 — "Kurmanzhan datka" (directed by T. Kasymbekova and K. Saktanov) at the Kyrgyz Drama Theater named after T. Abdumomunov.
