Svetlana received her education at the Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts named after B. Beishenaliev. In 1991, she began her career as an intern at the theater, where she debuted in the role of Gilda in the opera "Rigoletto." Her repertoire also included roles in works such as "Don Giovanni," "The Queen of Spades," as well as children's performances "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Magical Music." By the end of 1993, Gusakova had become the leading soloist of the theater.
During her 27 years of creative life, Svetlana performed more than ten roles in world opera masterpieces, including Violetta in "La Traviata," Rosina in "The Barber of Seville," the Queen of the Night from "The Magic Flute," and Frasquita in "Carmen."
Possessing a lyric-coloratura soprano, she demonstrated magnificent vocal mastery. Svetlana frequently held solo performances, and in April 2006, a concert featuring a string quintet took place in the Malachite Hall of her theater.
In 2008, the singer performed in the Great Hall with an orchestra conducted by the People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan, Jumakadir Kanimetov.
In March 2011, Gusakova held two solo concerts with the support of her colleagues from the theater. At the end of 2012, dedicating her concert "Autumn Ball" in the Malachite Hall to the theater's 70th anniversary, she showcased her talents. In 2007, the artist was awarded a diploma for her significant contribution to the development of the arts in Kyrgyzstan, and in 2015, she received the badge "Excellence in Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic."
