People's Artist of the KR Gulshara Dulatova was born in 1930 in Tokmok. She began her career at the age of 16, working as a soloist in the philharmonic choir of the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic from 1946 to 1948. In 1953, she graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A. Ostrovsky and joined the Kyrgyz State Academic Drama Theater.
She worked her entire life at the KNADT. She was awarded the Medal "For Labor Distinction" for her outstanding contributions to the development of Kyrgyz art and literature, in connection with the decade of Kyrgyz art and literature in Moscow (November 1, 1958). Since 1972, she also worked as a teacher in a two-year theater studio. She taught stage speech at the B. Beishenaliev Institute of Arts.
She was a versatile actress, successfully portraying both dramatic and comedic characters. Her role as Seyde in the production based on Ch. Aitmatov's story "Face to Face" brought her fame. She performed this role as a stand-in for the famous actress Baken Kydykeeva, People's Artist of the USSR. B. Kydykeeva saw that G. Dulatova played Seyde deeply and meaningfully, and passed the role on to her forever.
Gulshara Dulatova created over 100 different characters on stage and gifted them to theater lovers.
For example: Goldoni "The Boy of Two Gentlemen" — Beatrice, T. Abdumomunov "Narrow Gorge" — Anar, K. Zhantoshev "Kurmanbek" — Gulai, B. Zhakiev "Fate of the Father" - Zuur, Gl. Aitmatov "Betme — Bet" — Seyde, "The Path of Samanchi" — Tolgonai, M. Karim "On the Night of the Lunar Eclipse" — Tangabiyke, Figueredo "Aesop" — Kleya, K. Capek "Mother" — Mother, G. Lorca amazed the audience with many characters, such as "The House of Bernarda Alba" — Bernarda, Trenev "Love Yaroaya" — Dunya.
G. Dulatova played the role of Tolgonai in the play based on Ch. Aitmatov's story "Milky Way." In this character, her tragic artistic nature was fully manifested.
Despite her ability to act in all genres, G. Dulatova's main role is tragedy.
She is considered the most prominent tragic actress on the Kyrgyz national stage. In particular, the image of Tangabiyke, created by G. Dulatova in the tragedy "The Night of the Lunar Eclipse" by Bashkir playwright Mustai Karim, is a model of tragic art in the Kyrgyz national theater.
During her nearly forty years of teaching, G. Dulatova prepared dozens of stage masters who became well-known to the Kyrgyz people. Through her efforts, a private school for "Stage Speech" was established by G. Dulatova.

Gulshara Dulatova, a luminary of theatrical art, passed away on March 3, 2009, at the age of 79. On September 6, a memorial plaque was installed at the house where People's Artist of the KR Gulshara Dulatova lived.
