Brief Biography
Talantbek Tolobekovich was born on May 4, 1983. He is a producer and a member of the board of the Union of Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Board of the Association of Film Producers of Kyrgyzstan.
Tolobekov has higher education, having graduated from the Kyrgyz National University of Culture and Arts named after B. Beishenaliev with a degree in "manager of socio-cultural activities, pedagogue," and from the Ch. Bazarbaev Choreographic School, where he received a degree as a ballet artist and choreographer.
Since 2002, Talantbek has been working in the field of culture and cinema, starting his career with the establishment and coordination of the National Film Award "Ak Ilbirs" in 2013.
His experience in leadership positions includes:
- 2019-2023 — Executive Director of the "Ak Ilbirs" award;
- 2023-2025 — Director of the state film studio "Kyrgyzfilm";
- since 2023 — Chairman of the National Oscar Committee;
- since 2025 — Director of LLC "Shaboto Film Group".
As a producer, Tolobekov participated in the creation of films such as "Үй сатылат" ("The House is for Sale"), "Көл" ("Lake"), "Мунабия", "Атанын керээзи" ("Father's Testament"), and others. He also coordinated the nomination of national films for prestigious awards, including the "Oscar," "Golden Globe," and "Nika."
In addition, he became the initiator of the investment program "Shoot in Kyrgyzstan" and the establishment of the National Film Commission.
