The deputy requests to postpone the licensing deadlines for taxi drivers once again

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 21, deputy Dastan Bekeshev stated the need to postpone the licensing deadlines for taxi drivers by six months. He noted that government institutions would not be able to prepare all the necessary permits by February 1.

Bekeshev also emphasized the importance of reviewing the requirements for candidates, such as the possession of a military ID, a medical certificate, and a certificate of no criminal record. According to him, the Ministry of Internal Affairs itself requires these documents, which forces drivers to spend time obtaining them. He warned that strict conditions could increase the unemployment rate and called for the simplification of the licensing process.
