In 2026, it is planned to plant 50 thousand seedlings in Bishkek. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, in a podcast of the agency "Kabar".
He noted that contracts have already been signed, and the first deliveries will begin arriving in the city in February. "Before planting new seedlings in the urban area, we will place them in a nursery. This will allow us to assess how they adapt and take root. We had a sad experience in 2025 when 1,500 trees brought to the city died after planting. Therefore, we will first plant the seedlings in the nursery, and only then will we transplant them into the city," the mayor added.
