According to him, the rural district of the Ala-Buka region has a population of over 53,000 people, while only 14 employees work in the rural administration.
“Residents are coming to us with complaints, claiming that they cannot serve all citizens in time. Previously, 29,000 people lived in this area, and after the merger of three districts, the population increased to 53,000. This is also indicated by the district leadership. Now the responsibilities that were previously performed by three rural administrations have been placed on the employees of one,” the deputy noted.
Tursunbaev expressed the opinion that this is a problem not only for this district but for many other places in the country.
The deputy proposed that the government reconsider the results of the administrative-territorial reform and increase the number of staff in the rural administration depending on the number of local residents.
It is worth noting that as a result of the reform, the total number of rural districts in Kyrgyzstan has decreased from 452 to 231.
