At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Nurjamal Torobekova raised important issues regarding the status of the village of Ojor, located in the Mady Kara-Suu district of the Osh region. She emphasized that approximately 500 families live in this settlement, primarily ethnic Kyrgyz and young families.

The deputy reported that in 2003, a plot was allocated for the construction of a medical and obstetric point, a kindergarten, and a school; however, work on the construction of these facilities has not yet begun. As a result, children are forced to study in the village of Bash-Bulak, where the school, designed for 480 students, is currently overcrowded and teaches about 1900 children.

In addition, Torobekova drew attention to the village of Kyzyl-Tal, where about 1700 families and more than 5000 residents live, and where there is also no school.

“Children are forced to travel to the city for their studies, and the journey takes about an hour. There is also an irrigation problem in this area: there is no irrigation water, which complicates agricultural activities,” the deputy added.
