"Similar plots are also marked in other parts of the capital"
Today, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, it became known about the planned demolition of more than 100 houses in the Lenin district of Bishkek, caused by road works. This was reported by deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva.
She noted that residents of the district expressed concerns in a collective letter regarding the possible destruction of their homes due to the breakthrough of Sheraliyev Street, which will run from Akhunbaev to Gagarin, further connecting to Termechikov. This breakthrough is provided for in the new general plan of the capital.
However, city hall representatives noted that the implementation of this project is "not planned" in the near future.
"This area was included in the general plans approved back in Soviet times, as well as in the Bishkek general plan for the period from 2006 to 2025. Similar areas are also provided for in other districts of the capital," the municipality clarified.
As part of the new general plan, these planning decisions are maintained as long-term prospects for the development of the street and road network. The mayor's office urged residents to remain calm and rely only on official sources of information from authorized bodies.
