During the investigation, one of the specialists from the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, E.A.T., attempted to evade responsibility by offering a bribe to a GKNB employee. On January 20, 2026, while handing over a sum of 100,000 soms, he was caught red-handed by the security service officers.
At present, the detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are ongoing within the framework of the initiated criminal case to establish all the circumstances of the crime and identify other officials involved in this corruption scheme.
