Land plots were allocated based on forged documents
A corruption scheme related to the illegal allocation of land plots in the Talas region was uncovered by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). This was reported by the committee's press service.
According to law enforcement agencies, 43 citizens were allocated plots with a total area of 10 hectares and 75 ares in the Kara-Buurin rural council of the Aitmatov district, which became possible due to the forgery of local council resolutions.
In total, 56 land plots were illegally provided under a similar scheme.
As part of the investigation, it was revealed that one of the specialists from the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, E.A.T., offered a bribe in cash to avoid inspection and responsibility for his actions.
On January 20, 2026, E.A.T. was detained while handing over 100,000 soms to a GKNB officer as part of a criminal case initiated.
At present, the suspect is in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are being conducted to establish his involvement in this crime, as well as to identify other public officials involved in these illegal activities.
