At a press conference at the Kabar agency, the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan (FPC), Muradil Jumadilde uulu, announced a 71% increase in income from the remaining five assets. According to him, this growth demonstrates a more effective use of the union's property.
He reminded that after the dissolution of the VTsSPS in 1992, Kyrgyzstan inherited trade union properties, ultimately receiving 217 assets, of which 101 were sold to private individuals.
Speaking about current court cases, Muradil Jumadilde uulu noted that there are currently 110 legal proceedings underway, 108 of which are being conducted in conjunction with law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor's office.
The head of the FPC also reported that some properties are being returned to the state balance, while others remain under the organization's management. He emphasized that the work on the return of illegally sold properties has been completed, and by the end of 2025, the restoration of five properties, mainly land plots, is planned, which will be used for the health improvement of workers.
Additionally, Muradil Jumadilde uulu discussed issues related to the union's membership base. He pointed out previous problems with the accounting and distribution of members, caused by artificial inflation of numbers due to the system of distributing vouchers.
“The Federation conducted a complete inventory. Previously, the union included 23 sectoral and 6 regional committees, but now there are only 16 left. The current membership of the union is 347,000 people,” concluded the chairman of the FPC.
