President of the Federation of Mountaineering of Kyrgyzstan, Eduard Kubatov, recently shared data in a podcast with the agency "Kabar" about the significant growth of the country's economy over the past five years, which has tripled.
In his opinion, this success is a result of the personal responsibility and determination of the current president.
“I can assert that Kyrgyzstan has entered a new era. The threefold economic growth over the past five years can be compared to the 'leap of the snow leopard,' which has become a symbol of our country. This achievement is not only for Kyrgyzstan but for all of Central Asia,” noted Kubatov.
He also emphasized that the structure of government expenditures has undergone significant changes. “Previously, budget funds barely covered salaries and pensions, but now they are directed towards the development of our country. When you travel abroad, Kyrgyzstan is spoken of with respect. We used to look at other countries with envy. Moreover, it is important to note that two years out of the last five (2021–2022) were spent on political processes, constitutional reforms, and resolving border issues. In fact, economic issues were only addressed in the last three years, and even in this short period, the results are impressive,” he added.
