In 2026, as part of the second phase of the "Safe Country" initiative, more than 20,000 video cameras will be installed across Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by Ulan Niyazbekov, the country's Minister of Internal Affairs, at a meeting dedicated to the results of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' work for 2025.

Niyazbekov noted that modern digital technologies are being actively implemented in the republic, which will raise the level of safety in public places, on the streets, and in tourist areas to a new level.

"Our goal is not only to maintain public order and combat crime but also to improve the quality of service for citizens. We strive to provide quick and effective assistance to both residents and guests of the country. This has already borne fruit: nearly 10,000 crimes have been prevented," the minister added.
