
At the meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Local Self-Government, and Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, a draft law was approved concerning amendments to a number of legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, the amendments affect the laws "On the Licensing and Permit System," "On Advocacy and Advocacy Activities," and "On Guaranteed State Legal Assistance," and have passed the first reading.
The Deputy Minister of Justice, Orozbek Sydykov, emphasized that the proposed changes are aimed at improving the system of guaranteed state legal assistance and optimizing the work of the advocacy in the country. The main objectives of the draft law are to simplify the organizational structure of the guaranteed state legal assistance system by implementing modern information technologies, which will help make legal assistance more accessible and reduce excessive administrative procedures in the work of the advocacy.
