The national forum titled "Data and Security in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" has launched in Bishkek, coinciding with the International Data Protection Day.
This event has become a significant platform for discussing issues of personal data protection, as well as digital and information security against the backdrop of the active implementation of AI and digital technologies.
The forum was opened by Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized the importance of ensuring special protection for citizens' personal data.
“Given our overall digitalization, citizens' data must be under reliable protection from the state. I am concerned about the security of personal data in government databases. We cannot simply lock them up like an ordinary door. For example, we are converting medical records into electronic format for the convenience of citizens, and in this case, the level of security must be the highest,” Baisalov stated.
Representatives from government structures, the business community, and the IT industry, as well as international experts and members of civil society, are participating in the discussion. They are sharing reports on measures aimed at protecting the confidentiality of personal information in the context of the rapid development of AI technologies.
