Production of polystyrene concrete has begun in the Jety-Oguz district. This information was announced by representatives of the Issyk-Kul Development Fund.
According to the fund's data, in 2025, a local businessman submitted a project proposal to the fund. Support for the initiative came from the head of the district and the supervisory board, which led to the decision to provide an interest-free repayable loan of 4.5 million soms.
With these funds, specialized molds for the production of polystyrene concrete, a loader, and other necessary equipment were purchased. According to the entrepreneur, the growing interest in polystyrene concrete in the construction industry confirms its demand. "This material is characterized by high moisture resistance and versatility. It is used for the construction of walls, partitions, insulation of floors and roofs, as well as in monolithic construction. Moreover, its price is affordable for the population," the statement notes.
The opening of the new enterprise has created 6 jobs and will also ensure tax revenues to the local budget.
