The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan has organized a competition to select authors and developers of new generation textbooks as part of the transition to a 12-year education system.
As clarified by the ministry's press service, the competition was held in two stages and covered three subjects: "Kyrgyz Language" (for grades 1–12), "Geography," and "History" (for grades 7–12).
In the first stage, participants submitted their resumes, which were evaluated by a specialized commission taking into account their professional experience and scientific-methodological works.
In the second stage, candidates presented their projects developed according to specified criteria, in presentation format both offline and online.
As a result of the event:
- for the subject "Geography," 10 applications were submitted, from which 10 authors were selected;
- for the subject "History," 16 applications were received, and 8 authors were chosen;
- for the subject "Kyrgyz Language," 24 applications were submitted, and ultimately 5 authors were selected.
