On February 1, a raid aimed at combating poaching took place at Lake Issyk-Kul. This was reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As a result of the operation, more than 500 meters of old fishing nets, produced in China, were confiscated.

Since the beginning of 2026, over 3100 meters of illegally installed nets have already been discovered and removed in the region.

As noted by the ministry, the fight against poaching continues.
