Today, an event was held in Bishkek to clear the route of the 110 kV overhead power line "CHP - Main 1,2," organized by the capital's electric grid company. The work was carried out between the 34th and 35th poles of the line.
The press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that these activities are aimed at preventing possible fires.
With the arrival of spring, residents of the capital often burn dry grass and vegetation to clear their plots; however, such actions can lead to the emergence of smoke and overheating of the air, which, in turn, can cause the shutdown of high-voltage lines.
For this reason, the Bishkek electric grid company urges citizens to refrain from burning vegetation and to strictly follow fire safety rules near energy facilities.
