In the village of Kök-Tash, located in the ayil aimak of Sumbula in the Leilek district, local residents organized the construction of a road to the state natural park "Sarkent" using the method of ashar.

According to the chairman of the Sumbula ayil council, Kalikul Kenzhebaev, the initiative was supported by many, and as a result, about 3 million soms were raised.

Kenzhebaev noted that during the Soviet era, there was a road to "Sarkent," but over time it was lost. Now, thanks to the efforts of local residents, a new road 17 km long has been constructed.

He also mentioned that there is a problem with irrigation and drinking water in the village of Kök-Tash. The need to bring water through "Sarkent" has become urgent, but reaching the source was not easy, which complicated the demonstration of its location for visiting officials. As a result, local residents decided to first build the road so that the government could then address the water supply project.

"If this project is implemented, it will allow for the development of about 10,000 hectares of land. Currently, the village has a population of 4,137 people, and there are more than 750 households here," he added.
