According to local administration information, Mayor Nursultan Tajibaev conducted an inspection of the bridge on February 3, together with representatives of the relevant services.
According to the mayor's office, this bridge was built by local residents in the 1960s using the ashar method. Despite the danger, residents continue to use it.
“The bridge was built by the people themselves and is not on our balance sheet. We are considering the possibility of transferring it to the road service and, if funding is provided from the republican budget, we will try to build a new one. The water level is rising, and this creates a danger. Currently, emergency services are monitoring the situation,” the mayor noted.
According to the mayor's office, the population of Gulcho is expected to reach 23,601 by 2026.
