A regular reader contacted the editorial office of VB.KG, expressing concern about the increasing number of women with small children begging at the Orto-Sai market. According to her, such women can be found at every turn, asking for alms while holding infants.
“During my walk through the market, I counted about eight such women. They are clearly not locals, and their appearance does not evoke sympathy, which makes one think about the situation,” shares her impressions with the city resident.
Previously, residents of the capital had noticed groups of people engaged in organized begging in public places, but now the situation at the Orto-Sai market looks particularly alarming. The author of the appeal urges law enforcement and social services to pay attention to what is happening: it is necessary to check the legality of these individuals' stay in the country and, importantly, to find out the conditions in which the children used for collecting money from passersby are living.
