Since February 12, according to information from the Road Traffic Safety Administration (UTBD) under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there has been a significant drop in temperature and dense fog in the area. This has led to the following negative consequences:
- visibility on the roads has sharply worsened due to fog, creating dangerous conditions for drivers.
- a strong ice layer has formed on the roadway, significantly complicating vehicle movement.
- air temperature continues to drop, creating dangerous frosts.
To prevent traffic accidents and ensure the safety of citizens on the Ötmäk pass, located on the Bishkek—Talas highway, restrictions have been imposed on the passage of heavy vehicles.
Emergency services and law enforcement agencies strongly urge drivers to exercise extreme caution and strictly adhere to traffic rules in deteriorating weather conditions.
