The Bishkek city administration, led by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, held a meeting dedicated to the results of socio-economic development for 2025 and the tasks for the upcoming year.
First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baigonchokov presented the results of the work carried out within the framework of the administrative-territorial reform and digitalization.
As part of the reform, new boundaries for districts and municipal administrations were defined. To enhance management efficiency in the Lenin and Pervomaisky districts, two additional municipal territorial administrations were created, the number of employees was increased, and a digital numbering system for the administrations was implemented.
In 2025, the construction of six social facilities was completed, design and research work was carried out for seven other facilities, and a major renovation of a kindergarten in the village of Orok was conducted. Additionally, work on seven communal facilities was completed, and 18 streets were repaired, totaling 12.16 kilometers in length. A total of 48.8 million soms was allocated for the development of outdoor lighting, which allowed for the installation of 2078 new light points.
The Digital Technology Center of the city administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Local Self-Government, expanded the functionality of its mobile application "My City".
The new version of the application includes a feature for tracking the location of public transport in real-time, as well as the ability to build routes considering transfers and actual travel times.
Currently, the number of active users of the "My City" application stands at 531.4 thousand people. As part of the city's digital transformation, significant projects such as "Auto-Evacuation" and "Smart Stop," which displays routes, arrival times of transport, and supports voice guidance, have been launched.
An information system called "Municipal Property" has also been developed, which includes a tenant's personal account integrated into the "My City" application. This functionality allows tenants to significantly reduce the time spent on document processing, make payments electronically, and avoid the need to visit municipal institutions and use paper documents.
In collaboration with the St. Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Prospective Urban Development, a general plan for the city until 2050 was developed in 2025. Public discussions and hearings were held, and work continues on the implementation of this project based on the results.
