At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on issues of the judicial system, law enforcement, and combating crime, the draft law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the KR (to the Criminal Executive Code of the KR, the Criminal Code of the KR, the Criminal Procedure Code of the KR)" was approved in the second reading.

The chairman of the committee, Bolotbek Borbiev, emphasized that this draft law is aimed at strengthening measures against organized crime and its complete eradication. As part of its implementation, it is planned to introduce the concept of recidivism of crimes, as well as to address issues related to the confiscation of property.

A draft law of the KR "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the KR (to the Civil Code of the KR, the Civil Procedure Code of the KR)" was also reviewed and supported in the third reading.

Borbiev, presenting the initiative of deputy Dastan Bekeshev, noted that the draft law is aimed at creating a more flexible and humane system for protecting the rights of citizens recognized as incapacitated or having limited capacity, as well as simplifying the procedures for restoring their capacity.
