Security measures have been tightened on the Bishkek—Kara-Balta highway.

According to the press service of the Road Traffic Safety Department (UOBDD) under the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, this highway passes through several districts, including Sokuluk, Moscow, and Jayil. In this regard, control over compliance with traffic rules has been significantly strengthened to enhance pedestrian safety.

Specialists from the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Moscow district noted that recently there have been instances where passengers attempt to stop vehicles in inappropriate places, ignoring designated stops.

“Lenin Central Street in the village of Belovodskoye intersects with the Bishkek—Kara-Balta road, where traffic lights and pedestrian markings are installed. Nevertheless, people heading to Sokuluk or Bishkek often wait for transport by stepping onto the roadway, which creates dangerous situations for both themselves and drivers heading towards the capital. To address this issue, special raids are being conducted, and passenger safety measures have become stricter,” the press release states.

During inspections, special attention is also paid to both the technical and sanitary condition of vehicles. Drivers are engaged in discussions about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and safety precautions on the roads.
