According to him, the preparation of the land plot is currently underway, after which the project will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers. "I remind you that after the completion of the new administrative building last year, the city education department was relocated there, and the music school moved to another building. The old buildings of these institutions, located at the corner of J. Bakiev and Erkindik streets, were in extremely poor condition. The competition for their demolition was won by private individuals for 149,000 soms, and the dismantling process is currently ongoing," he added.
At the moment, a multifunctional cultural center is planned to be built on a 20-acre plot. There are practically no coworking spaces and leisure areas for youth in Manas. Additionally, there is no library in the city, so the project also includes the creation of a modern reading room. "Although we currently do not have funds for construction, we are ready to submit the completed project with the necessary proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers as soon as the plot is fully prepared," clarified Deputy Mayor Imanaliev.
The old buildings of the city education department and the only music school were built back in the 1960s. In 2008, the Ministry of Emergency Situations declared them to be in an emergency state.
