"This day is celebrated annually as part of the International Mother Language Day and aims to preserve and promote linguistic diversity," the organizers noted.
The event was attended by teachers, students, local residents, and representatives of different nationalities who performed musical pieces and songs in their native languages, as well as presented exhibitions.
Among the participants were Uyghur, Caucasian, Russian, Uzbek, and Turkish diasporas. Guests of the celebration included volunteers from Japan, Nigeria, and Congo. However, due to the coincidence with the month of Oroz, some diasporas were unable to participate. Quizzes about the languages of the world were also conducted.
During the event, the importance of language for culture and people, values passed down from generation to generation, and the friendship and harmony among peoples were discussed.
At the end, participants from various diasporas were presented with letters of appreciation from the head of the Alamedin District State Administration," the message added.
