Turmush — On February 21, in the Chui region, in the Moscow district, a meeting took place between local residents and A. Osmonov, the head of the region. This was reported by a Turmush correspondent.

During the event, the issue of the closed livestock market in Belovodsk was raised again.

It became known that on the same day, the presidential envoy in the region, Azamat Osmonov, visited several social facilities as part of a working trip and familiarized himself with the situation on the ground. After that, he met with residents in the meeting hall of the district state administration. One of the participants in the meeting once again raised the problem of the closure of the livestock market.

In response, Osmonov emphasized that the closure of the market, which does not meet sanitary standards, is a legal decision.

“It is necessary to increase the number of livestock markets in the districts. However, if the market does not meet sanitary requirements, it will be closed,” noted the head of the region.

Jumaly Begaliev, a local resident from Belovodsk, requested to allocate another location for the livestock market. In response, Osmonov mentioned the availability of livestock markets in Sokuluk and Kara-Balta.

“To get there, we need to travel 50 kilometers…” added Begaliev.

“My current policy in the Chui region is to increase the number of livestock markets. The more there are, the more competition there will be, which will lead to improved conditions. If necessary, choose a plot of land and build a new market. But if it does not meet sanitary standards, we will not open it,” concluded Azamat Osmonov.
