In the city of Osh, Mayor Janarbek Akayev visited the local plant engaged in landscaping and greening on February 23. He noted that the main focus for 2026 will be the creation of green zones and promised to intensify efforts in this area. The city's press service reports on this event.
Akayev emphasized the need for an early start to planting seedlings due to the unexpectedly warm spring and instructed the relevant services to work without weekends. Specific tasks include planting trees along Alimbek Datka and Navoi streets up to the bus station.
The mayor also announced plans to increase salaries for workers and urged institutions, developers, and residents to actively participate in greening efforts, supporting joint initiatives.
During the visit, the city head inspected the greenhouse complex of the plant and suggested developing local seedling production to reduce costs for purchasing plants and support the municipal economy.
This year, the planting of about 20,000 seedlings is planned in Osh.
