In the city of Uzgen, work is being carried out to prevent the threat of mudflows.

In Uzgen, located in the Osh region, activities aimed at preventing the threat of mudflows are actively being implemented.

Information about this was provided by the city administration, stating that from February 20 to 24, work was carried out to clean irrigation channels.

During these activities, a section of the Farhad canal measuring 5,100 meters, which posed a danger of mudflows, was cleared, as well as a section of the Uzgen canal with a length of 3,800 meters.

Additionally, as part of the community work initiative, it is planned to clean by February 24, 2026:

2,000 meters of the Farhad canal,

2,000 meters of the Uzgen canal.

Cleaning work has also been carried out on internal irrigation ditches with a total length of 500 meters, with an overall goal of cleaning up to 2,000 meters. These efforts will continue in the future.

Currently, local residents are actively participating in the community work initiative, contributing to efforts to prevent the threat of mudflows.
