Currently, there are 1200 fathers in Kyrgyzstan who are evading alimony payments. This was reported by Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubayeva at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to her, in 2025, 60,000 enforcement orders for alimony collection were registered.
Deputy Yrysbek Atazhanov emphasized that this number corresponds to the number of divorced families in the country.
“The figures are indeed impressive. We need to develop new mechanisms to avoid such situations with divorces. Every man who does not provide for his children does not deserve respect, and we must tighten the measures of punishment,” he noted.
