A family from the Talas region carefully preserves a "jainamaz" that was used by their ancestor over a hundred years ago. This was reported by local historian Gamal Soronkulov.

According to him, during the month of Orozo, the tradition of ooz achar is being revived in the villages. "Recently, I visited Ilyas Zharmanbetov from the Bakai-Ata district. After breaking the fast, we performed the evening prayer together. Among the modern prayer mats, I noticed one old, but in excellent condition, felt mat," he shared.

After the prayer, the host told the story of this mat. It turned out to be at least a hundred years old and has been passed down from generation to generation, serving as a spiritual support for many people. The first owner of the mat was the hunter Zharmanbet from the Keldechanygyl clan. Jumashaly uulu Zharmanbet, born in 1909, was renowned as a hunter who provided for his people.

However, when his fame reached its peak, he was accused of being associated with the bandit movement and was exiled, never to return. Despite his absence, his descendants continue to pray on his mat and read the Quran in his memory. They shared that he used this mat from a young age, and his descendants cherish it as a legacy," he concluded.
