In response to the worsening situation in the Middle Eastern region, a temporary interdepartmental headquarters has been established in Kyrgyzstan to address the issues of returning citizens to their homeland. This was reported by the Umrah department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
As explained by this organization, the current situation in the Middle East has significantly deteriorated, leading to the suspension of flights intended for performing the sacred pilgrimage of Umrah. This has created force majeure circumstances.
In light of the situation, the Umrah department of the Spiritual Administration has reached out to Kyrgyz citizens who are currently in the process of performing the minor pilgrimage in Mecca and Medina.
“We ask you to remain calm and patient, to follow the instructions of tour operators and the leaders of Umrah groups. Do not succumb to panic and wait for the stabilization of the situation and the resumption of flights. During this time, we urge you to pray for peace in the world, the unity of Muslims, and the development of our country,” the message states.Additionally, citizens planning to undertake Umrah are strongly advised to monitor the developments and to plan their pilgrimage only after the situation in the region improves.
