Approximately 100 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in Iran, most of whom hold dual citizenship. This was reported by Seytek Jumakadyrov, the director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He emphasized that among the Kyrgyz citizens in Iran, there is a significant number of women who have married local residents.
“At the moment, no requests for evacuation have been received. However, 11 citizens are on standby for departure. We are ready to organize their return if the need arises. The consul maintains constant contact with them,” he added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to monitor the situation and maintains communication with Kyrgyz citizens located in Iran.
