At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Mederbek Sakkaraev reported on the request of local residents from Tokmok, who insist on the installation of traffic lights along the important Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway.
He noted that one of the traffic lights is planned to be placed at the exit from the territory of the former livestock market, while the second will be installed on the western side of the city, near the wastewater treatment facilities.
“According to statistical data, numerous road traffic accidents occur at these intersections every year. The situation is complicated by the fact that the bypass road consists of several lanes in each direction, which makes it difficult for vehicles to safely exit the city,” he added.
