In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a large iftar was held aimed at supporting people with disabilities. This was reported by the press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK).
The event took place in the Pervomaisky district and was organized jointly with the "Yyman" mosque as part of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the muftiate, the main goal of this initiative was to provide moral and spiritual support to people with disabilities, strengthen unity in society during the fasting period, and strive to bring joy to those in need, as well as activate charitable activities.
"Ramadan is a time of mercy and attention to others. We are holding today’s iftar so that our brothers and sisters feel part of society and do not feel alone," the organizers emphasized.
For participants from the Sokuluk district who move in wheelchairs, the organizers fully covered transportation costs in both directions.
It is reported that this charitable event has been held annually for the past three years.
